23 Settembre 2010 per non dimenticare il massacro delle Fosse Ardeatine

24 Marzo 1944, il massacro delle Fosse Ardeatine

23 Settembre 2010 per non dimenticare dopo 66 anni

Le Fosse Ardeatine sono il luogo di uno degli avvenimenti più drammatici dell’occupazione Nazi in Rome, which did not lead to any advantage of the war, but to 335 innocent Italians killed without mercy. On March 23, 1944 33 German soldiers were killed by an explosion caused by partisans Via Rasella. The German command day after he ordered them to be killed 10 Italians for every German killed in action partisan. And so 335 more than expected in five Italians were rounded up and killed in this quarry on the outskirts of Rome. Among them were Jews, communists, people at random, prisoners, witnesses uncomfortable, many students, all persons not related to 'partisan action but this was not significant for those wild animals with human features who spoke German and gave orders, killed by a cave and left them there, after having covered their remains by blowing up the cave entrance to prevent their entry. Only a few months later when Rome was now freed, it was possible to make the compassionate recognition, primarily through documents and assets. War is always horrible, war kills we know, is unacceptable and incomprehensible, because it is incomprehensible for us to kill. The experience was important and formative for us young people still not accustomed to dealing with the past and the our history. We young people do not want to ignore, we want to know, and retrace the places we want to know so quiet but full of history, so cold now, but full of warmth and mute time has made us shudder.
