LIGURIA-
"PARK REGIONAL BODIES AT RISK spoils system"
Park Authorities of Liguria spoils system at risk, according to the associations ambientaliste ITALIA NOSTRA e WWF
- The president of each institution park Liguria (Slim-Montemarcello Antola, Portofino, Beigua, you, Ligurian Alps) will be directly appointed by the President of the Regional Council, and not by the board of each protected area .
- The Regional Council will dictate a status equal to any body type park
- The "Community Park", which today is a consultative body that brings together local authorities and economic categories, will give a binding opinion on fundamental acts of the protected area, as the plan of the park and building codes or use.
"The reduction of costs, used as an excuse to reduce to 5 members of boards of directors of the parks is just a fig leaf, because the bill says nothing about the extent of regional attendance , also very low. With this excuse are instead added other provisions that will make the de facto appendage of the regional park authorities, exposing them to the mood of the majority of the regional round, which may be changed at will the people who make up the governing councils of the parks . Augusto says Atturo of Italy Nostra, an environmental leader in the past 8 years for the board of the Park of Portofino.
"In addition, the presidents of the park authorities will only be those friends of the majority in office? Currently however, the regional law in force provides that every president has proven professional or managerial capacity to take on that role ... requirement that is inexplicably canceled, "adds Marco Lead, president of WWF Liguria.
"We will meet park authorities with a total dominance of municipal representatives, often hostile to the very presence of the protected area? And the communities of the park will be able to veto remedies and pianificazioen interest Generally, once it has established the binding force of a body is only advisory today? ".
ITALY AND OUR WWF has contributed much to the creation and consolidation of the parks and now they are a positive community HERITAGE Liguria; to continue to the contribution of our trade associations and avoid a lull in business inevitabuilmente are exposed, it is necessary that the new regional law is balanced power between the Board and Community Park.
